The beautiful beaches, state parks, mountains, meandering rivers, gorgeous lakes, suitable climate that’s all year round and other outdoor activities make Georgia to be an all year round adventure country.

Here are some places to visit in Georgia that will give you the real view of outdoor life in this part of the world.

Northest Georgia mountains

As an outdoor adventure site, the mountains offer an incredible combination of exciting activities to do and others to see. Amicalola Falls

Amicalola Falls which is the only genuine eco lodge in Georgia. However you have to hike to get to the lodge. You can also opt to go for white water rafting on the Chattooga River that’s nationally designated as a wild scenic site. Here you will find some outfitters like the wild water limited who are more than willing to guide you in class three to five rapids.

Amicalola State park

The Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds

The Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds is famous for hosting popular annual events that include the Georgia Mountain fair, Georgia mountain music and roots festival, superstar concert series, Georgia mountain fall festive among others.

Lake Sidney Lanier

A trip to Lake Sidney Lanier is one of the most delightful outdoor activities that you can carry out in northeast Georgia. This beautiful and incredible 39,000 acre lake actually borders five counties in Georgia and offers very exciting activities to do. There are also a good number of Marina parks which provide opportunities to undertake swimming, fishing and boat riding. You can also consider getting further east to Lake Hartwell that stands on 55,000 acres of land. Georgia veteran’s state park

Located near Cordele, the state park was established and functioned as a memorial of U.S. based veterans. The facility still features museums with aircrafts, uniforms, armored vehicles, medals, weapons and other stuff that remained after the revolutionary gulf war. Tourists can spend the better part of the day exploring the area either by land or lake.
