Visa Costs for All Countries in Southeast Asian Countries

Traveling to Southeast Asian countries can be a tricky affair as every country has their own regulations with most of them requiring you apply for a visa prior travel. Visa requirements are subject to change depending on the country and this makes it hard for one to plan a specific budget and also the length of the travel. We have however tried to compile and come up with most updated visa information from different countries in south East Asia. It’s very important however to note that information pertaining to visas is very vulnerable and subject to change unceremoniously it’s therefore recommended you keep in touch and update your knowledge at all times as a far as visa and travel is concerned.

Cambodia

Obtaining a visa at the borders can be quite expensive especially the Thai Cambodian border as the cost is paid in Thai’s baht which will get to around 1200 baht. You can also apply for an e-visa which is slightly more expensive.

Indonesia

Visa duration options
One month duration option at USD $20, extension of the visa goes at USD $35
Per month, previous cost of $10 for 7 days no longer exists.

. Payment is made in US dollars but may vary depending on border entry point.

Laos

Visa duration options
One month duration option at $20 to $42 depending on nationality
, extension of the visa goes at USD $ 2 for the first 30 days and USD$3.90 per day for extension of 90 days.

They also charge a penalty for late departure that at $10 a day, if you are rate for more than sixty days, you risk imprisonment or deportation

Malaysia

Malaysia is free for all passport holders for the first 30 to 90 days; your passport however must be valid for at least six months.
Extension of the visa gets to between US$ 20 to 42 depending on the duration you  intend to stay

Myanmar

Myanmar is free for all passport holders for the first few days; your passport however must be valid for at least six months. Your may then be expected to pay $10 a day depending on your border entry point and the security situation in the country
Extension of the visa gets to between US$ 20 to 50 depending on the duration you    intend to stay

Philippines

Philippines is free for all passport holders for the first 21 days, your passport however must be valid for at least six months.
Extension of the visa gets to US$ 30 for three months duration. There’s a 12 months visa of course at a different cost.

Singapore

Free for all passport holders for the first 14 to 30 days depending on which country you come from, your passport however must be valid for at least six months. US citizens can get up to 90 days for free.
Extension of the visa can be applied for up to 90 days.

Thailand

Extension gets you to pay 1900 baht for every 7 days
Illegal extension will cost you 500 baht per day up to a maximum of 40,000 baht; from there you risk imprisonment or deportation.

Vietnam

You must get a visa to stay in Vietnam, you pre apply and on getting to the airport you pay $ 10 and get your visa.
